Lily Collins reveals the wife of French president Emmanuel Macron is a fan of Emily in Paris
With just days to go until the third season of Emily in Paris premieres on Netflix, Lily Collins reveals that her show has a celebrity fan.
The 33-year-old actress appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, just hours after appearing on Good Morning America, to promote the new season, which premieres December 21 on Netflix.
Asked if he had met French President Emmanuel Macron, Collins said no, although he did meet his wife, Brigitte, who is a fan of the show.

The actress added that she was in for a big surprise when she was looking for a filming location on Google Maps… and that location said, ‘Emily Cooper’s Apartment,’ where her character resides on the show.
‘This is crazy. I was trying to send my friend a location of where we were filming that day, I walked over and said wait, it says, “Emily Cooper’s apartment,” on Google Maps? That’s weird. And also very cool. I was like, thanks Google,’ Collins said.
Wife: ‘I have met your lovely wife. In fact, she’s a huge fan of the show,” Collins said of Brigitte.
Google Maps: The actress added that she got a big surprise when she was looking for a filming location on Google Maps… and that location said: ‘Emily Cooper’s Apartment’, where her character resides on the show.
She revealed that for each season of the show, she spends around five months in Paris while filming, which she admits is pretty good work.
It’s a lovely concert. In fact, I now have a green card. Yeah, I have like a two-year green card,” Collins said.
She added: ‘Which I never thought I’d get to say that. We are very grateful to be able to shoot there. Paris has really wrapped us up and welcomed us.’
Five months: She revealed that for each season of the show, she spends about five months in Paris while filming, which she admits is pretty good work.
Residence: ‘It’s a lovely concert. In fact, I now have a green card. Yes, I have a two-year green card,” Collins said.
Asked if she now “feels like a local” in the City of Lights, she said yes, as Colbert revealed her recent Vogue Paris cover.
‘It was a real shock when I got that cover. I am not going to lie. I was like, “What!” I was very honored to be on the cover of French Vogue,” Collins said.
The show follows Chicago native Emily Cooper whose life is turned upside down when she takes a job in Paris to bring an American perspective to a French marketing company.

Netflix has already renewed Emily in Paris for a fourth season, though it’s unclear when production might begin.
Collins will also star in the movies Titan, Halo of Stars and The Accomplice.
