In 2022, Dianna said she feels “so lucky” to have known Naya Rivera.
The actress starred opposite Naya, who drowned during a boat trip in July 2020 at age 33, on Glee and has spoken about how close she and her tragic co-star were on the set of the hit musical series.

“We were quite isolated, because we weren’t involved in the whole pilot. We had our very brief moments in the pilot, and everyone was very involved in the singing, dancing and all the rehearsals.
“So, she was my point of contact and we kind of gave each other confidence in those moments. She was just very unique and special in the way that she carried herself with such confidence and assurance.
“If she believed in something, or in you as a person, she would always support those ideas.”
The As They Made Us actress played head cheerleader Quinn Fabray on Glee, while Naya – who leaves behind her husband Ryan Dorsey and their now seven-year-old son Josey – took on the role of her best friend Santana Lopez.
