She wrote: ‘We got drunk on the plane. At one point Liam and I were in the toilet together and did something he shouldn’t have done, which wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a bed together.
“When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his trademark nasal drawl, ‘What are you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel?’… I said, ‘Yeah, okay.’
She added: ‘It wasn’t until the next day, when he said something like, ‘Nobody can know this because of Nic,’ that I realised he was married.’
‘I knew Noel was married and I knew Liam was married to Patsy Kensit. That was partly why I liked him.’
Although Nicole hoped the secret affair would never come to light, after six months she discovered the truth and Liam asked Lily to lie to his wife.
