Paris Saint-Germain produced an utterly dominant display against Lille as Kylian Mbappe scored a hattrick during their 7-1 rout to send the reigning champions top of the Ligue 1 standings.
Lionel Messi and Neymar also found their way onto the scoresheet as Christophe Galtier had his players singing off the same hymn sheet against an out-of-sorts Lille side.
Mbappe scored after just eight seconds with Neymar linking up Messi, who played a long ball over the top for the Frenchman to chase as he lobbed the keeper to kick start PSG’s onslaught.
Messi made it two-nil minutes later after linking up beautifully with Nuno Mendes before striking right-footed from close-range.
Achraf Hakimi and Neymar doubled PSG’s lead before half time with the Ligue 1 leaders in cruise control during their visit to northern France.
Neymar scored his second of the night after a defensive mix-up at the start of the second half before Mbappe scored twice late on to secure his three-goal haul and three points for PSG.
