‘Like new’ PlayStation portals are getting $60 off through Amazon for Prime Day
Discounts on the PlayStation Portal, Sony’s external player for the PS5 with an 8-inch screen, are almost impossible to come by. We’re surprised that Amazon has one for Prime Day in October, but there’s a catch. The company has a large inventory of “like new” units that have been returned, and is clearing its inventory at the more reasonable price of $141 (which is normally $199.99 new) for Prime members. All you have to do to get this discount is… add it to your cartand watch the list price drop from $176.52 to $141.
Normally we don’t feel comfortable recommending used products purchased sight unseen, but Amazon’s Renewed lists some important guarantees, such as that the “screen is like new, with no visible scratches,” and that it is in its original packing will come. That still might not be enough to take a chance, but with almost $60 off the new price, some might feel comfortable taking a chance since $60 is money going towards a new game could go. Plus, Amazon offers free returns, so there’s little risk other than potentially wasting your time running to the mail center if things don’t work out.
