Two light planes collide in horrific fatal crash with smoke seen billowing into the sky
Two light aircraft have crashed into each other in a horrific fatal collision in Sydney’s south-west.
Emergency services were called to Belimbla Park in Oakdale just before midday on Saturday.
NSW Police confirmed the crash was fatal but did not reveal how many people died in the accident.
“Officers from Camden Police Area Command are currently on scene and have secured two crime scenes,” a police spokesperson said.
“The public is urged to avoid the area.
‘No further information is available at this time.
“An investigation into the cause of the crash will be conducted by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).”
Smoke has been seen billowing into the air above the crash site, with witnesses reporting seeing a ‘fireball’ Seven news.
