Lidia Thorpe has been pushed to the ground by police and protesters after she tried to disrupt British transcriber Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull’s speech. Let Women Speak rally outside Parliament building.

Keen-Minshull, also known as Posie Parker, has traveled across Australia addressing protest marches in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart, sparking ferocious counter-demonstrations by pro-LGBTQI activists.

She stood alongside One Nation senators Pauline Hanson and Malcolm Roberts to deliver a speech at a rally in Canberra on Thursday, attended by both trans critics and more than 100 pro-trans protesters.

Former Greens turned independent “black sovereignty” movement, Senator Thorpe attempted to storm the podium where Keen-Minshull was speaking before she was intercepted by police and forced to the ground.

Mrs Thorpe, who was holding an Aboriginal flag during the chaos, quickly crawled away when officers tried to lift her.

She then stormed back to the large group of pro-trans protesters.

As the rain poured down on Canberra, hundreds of anti-Posie protesters flooded Keen-Minshull’s pro-women rally, separated on the lawns of Parliament House by two dozen police officers.

Protesters bumped into pro-trans protesters by holding signs that read “wild boys are not boys,” “protest the innocence of children,” and “libraries are for books, not perversion.”

Slogans include “bigots in the bin,” “f*** off Posie f**k off,” and “you’ve got Nazis on your side.”

Some of those in attendance told Daily Mail Australia it was their first time protesting, spurred mainly by Keen-Minshull’s ‘hateful’ rhetoric on her national tour of Australia this month.

Simon, 23, said he “couldn’t bear to know she’s in my town,” and wasn’t even deterred by the gray skies and pouring rain.

“A bit symbolic, I think,” he said.

In the background, those gathered around him chanted ‘f***k off’, at one point having to be stopped by the police as they tried to move forward.

More than 100 anti-trans protesters gathered at the rally holding signs reading “bigots in the bin,” “f*** off Posie f**k off,” and “you’ve got Nazis on your side.”

On the other side of the lawn, pro-women protesters booed and danced, mocking the crowd as Keen-Minshull spoke of the ‘gender crisis’ unfolding in Australia.

“It’s the next lobotomy scandal, but this time we’re doing it to kids,” she claimed.

Her voice was drowned out by the sound of musical instruments and jeers, but those who gathered to support her applauded and cheered anyway as she vowed never to stop fighting for women’s rights.

“We say the things that sometimes we’re afraid to say in real life, without caring what people around us say,” she said.

“I have to have a goddamn police escort from the airport because I said women don’t have penises. It’s bloody disgusting.’

More to come.
