However, Sam has now taken to X to announce that the release would be postponed as ‘we are all still grieving’
He wrote: “Today I choose to ‘Do No Wrong’ and leave these freedoms to all family members. I want all proceeds to go to a charity of their choice (or however they choose).
“Even though we all love the song, it’s not the right time yet.
“We all continue to mourn Liam’s passing and I want the family to rise in peace and prayer. We will all wait. With love Sam Pounds.’
Several fans rushed to the comments to thank Sam for sticking with the single’s release and respecting his family.
“Thank you for respecting the family’s wishes; It’s the right thing to do! Thank you; Thank you for giving everyone time to grieve and leaving the decision up to Liam’s family;
‘Thanks Sam… yes we still cry but we’re always ready for Liam’s music when the time is right; Thank you for respecting the family’s decision. Hopefully it will see the light of day at better timing.”
Liam had collaborated on Do No Wrong with North Carolina singer Sam before his death, and three versions of the song would eventually be released, including a live mix and an a cappella single.
Earlier today, Sam shared a snippet of their song to his Instagram grid, alongside a clip of himself and Liam listening to the song together.

Tragically, the musician was in talks for a 2025 tour before his death.
The star was reportedly in negotiations for a series of live dates next year, but friends were concerned he wouldn’t be able to handle the time on the road.
A source said The mirror: ‘When it emerged that Liam had been talking to new people about a series of dates, there was great concern among his friends that this was a bad idea.
“Liam broke away from his management about six months ago, and that wouldn’t have been something they would have recommended at this point.”

He said, “This time the scariest part is that each of these songs is a story from my life. And they are very close to me.
“I hope that with each song people get the feeling that I really felt what you are feeling right now when you listen to this.”
He added, “We rewrote a lot of these songs based on the idea of where we’re going with this and also how I feel as a person.
“I used to come over and sing a song and then leave.” Absolutely not this time. We’re going to have fun with this.’
