Liam Payne’s boyfriend has revealed the lengths the former One Direction star went to to attend a wedding just weeks before his tragic death.
The singer caused an outpouring of grief when he fell from a 43-foot hotel balcony last Wednesday at the age of 31.
And in a heartbreaking tribute, his friend Madison Donnan revealed the extraordinary efforts Liam had turned to just weeks before his death.
The influencer married businessman Matthew Kenner in August in a lavish ceremony in Paris, with Liam flying from a remote unknown location to make it to their nuptials on time.
Madison wrote, “We are still in disbelief that we have lost our dear friend Liam. He was a talented singer, songwriter and most importantly, a dear friend whose spirit lit up every room he entered.

“His infectious laugh and genuine interest left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
“Today, in honor of Liam’s memory, let’s celebrate not only his artistry, but the profound impact he had as a friend. Liam left filming to catch a red eye and make it to our wedding. He was waiting at the end of the aisle to be the first to congratulate us.”
She added: ‘It was impossible not to love him. To his girlfriend Kate, his family and friends: may you find comfort in the precious moments you share with Liam. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with you as we mourn the loss of a remarkable person who brought so much joy to our lives.”
Liam’s grieving girlfriend has also paid tribute to the tragic singer, revealing he had handed her a note detailing their wedding plans before his death.

Alongside a photo of the couple embracing in black and white, Kate Cassidy, 25, said her heart was ‘shattered’.
She called Liam her “best friend, the love of my life” and spoke fondly of his “infectious” energy, saying she is struggling to “figure out how to live without him.”
She explained that the couple had been writing messages to each other as they dreamed of their future together – making notes that they manifested, which is the idea that through the power of faith we can effectively “think” a goal so that it becomes reality.

His, which he asked her not to open, promised the hope that within a year they would get married and be together “forever.” It is not yet clear whether she opened this note before or after his death.
And with loving detail he added the numbers 444 – which Kate used to sign off her tribute to him.
She says it represents the angels’ favorite number sequence, reminding you that there is always someone to support you when you’re feeling down.
In a series of photos posted alongside her post, she shared sweet snaps of their time together: posing in the snow, wearing Minnie Mouse ears in Disney Land and playing with their puppy.
Ms Cassidy, 25, left Argentina two days before Liam’s death for Buenos Aires, where they had originally flown to attend his former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert on October 4.
The former One Direction star fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Palmero hotel in a tragedy being treated as an ‘inconclusive death’.
Post-mortem examination revealed that he died from multiple injuries.
On Instagram she revealed their idyllic evening, now struck by tragedy.

She wrote, “A few weeks ago we sat outside on a beautiful evening and manifested our lives together. I keep your note handy even though you told me not to look at it.
‘It said: ‘Kate and I will be married in a year/engaged and together forever 444’
“Liam, I know we will be together forever, but not in the way we planned. You will always be with me. I have been given a guardian angel.
“I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond and carry our dreams and memories with me wherever I go.”
Kate and Liam first started dating in October 2022 and made their red carpet debut at the Fashion Awards later that year.
The pair then put an end to the split rumors by enjoying a date in London in June last year, and later that year she supported him when he was rushed to hospital with a ‘severe kidney infection’.
One image – of Liam and Kate playing with their beloved rescue dog Nala – showed his hope that they could one day be a ‘fun and loving family’.
The troubled musician had adopted her just a month before his death and described the meeting that led to the adoption as a “meet and greet with some dogs.”
Speaking about his furry friend, he added: “I really love her. She’s so cute. She’s a little new member of the family for a while.
‘We’re going to take her in for a while and make her really nice for a loving family, I think. But maybe we are a nice family.’
Kate was spotted in public for the first time this weekend, picking up dog food for their pet.

On Friday, the influencer broke her silence to pay an emotional tribute to Payne. The message on her Instagram read: “Thank you for all the kind words and love sent my way.
‘I was completely at my wits’ end. Nothing about the past few days felt real. I ask and pray that you give me the grace and space to deal with this privately.
‘Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam.”
The singer’s father Geoff has traveled to the Argentine capital to confirm the body is his son’s and arrange for its repatriation to Britain once it is released by authorities. His funeral is expected to take place in November.
