Liam Payne has been praised for donating to a 28-year-old man battling cancer in the weeks before his death.
The singer fell from the third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16, plunging into the courtyard before medics later confirmed his death.
The hitmaker donated £3,000 to a man called Jack on September 30 to help him pay for medical care and living costs as he battles stage 4 B-cell lymphoma.
His GoFundMe states that Jack cannot work during his treatments, so he has no steady income.
Speak with The mirrorhe said: ‘Eventually my neck and arm swelled to about twice their normal size and I went to have it checked out.’

When Jack saw ‘Liam Payne’s’ donation, he initially assumed it was a prank.
But when he read that Liam had donated thousands of pounds to multiple GoFundMes in recent weeks, he changed his mind.
He said: ‘I thought it was a joke or someone was donating under a false name in the interests of maintaining their own anonymity until reports emerged of Liam’s acts of kindness during his final days.
“It really warmed my heart knowing that he could find some kind of peace through the love and support he gave to other people in his final moments.”
During his life, the 31-year-old tirelessly spent his time using his £46 million fortune and his superstardom in an effort to help others in need.
Liam worked with Unicef and anti-poverty NGO Trussell Trust to help residents of his hometown of Wolverhampton in the West Midlands.
From volunteering at the local food bank to donning his studs twice for a Soccer Aid match, the pop star had a ‘burning desire… to do good’.
A month before his sudden death, the singer had donated £10,000 to various GoFundMe pages.

His friend told him The sun: ‘Liam had all that money, and yes, he had nice things in life, but he also had a burning desire to use his money to do good.
“Even in the weeks leading up to his death – and as he battled his own demons – he helped others.
‘He really wanted to be a good person, especially when it came to children. In that respect he was like one of his idols, George Michael.’
Earlier in 2021, Payne had auctioned off his clothes and raised a whopping £15,000 for various charities.
It has been revealed that Payne – a doting dad to seven-year-old Bear – had given thousands after reading several tragic stories on GoFundMe in one night.
A school shooting victim, people needing life-saving surgeries and people diagnosed with cancer were some of the many people Liam helped that night.
He also gave £770 to a young girl injured in a school shooting to help her pay her medical bills.
It has been revealed that he spent £10,000 in one night last month on donations to various GoFundMe pages (LR Harry Styles, Liam, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik in 2011)
A further £2,223 was donated to help Kailyn, a four-year-old child who had suffered a stroke.
Liam said at the time: ‘As a father it affects me differently. I have spent the last few nights trying to complete the donations so they can get the surgeries they need – in my country they would be free.
‘I can’t look at a sick child and not see Bear. I don’t ask people to say well done or that I’m great.
‘What matters to me is that that child gets the life he or she should live.’
His charity work doesn’t stop there: he was previously guest of honor at a new youth center in Wolverhampton and later donated £3,000 to the institution.
That year he teamed up with Wimbledon champion Andy Murray and Fresh Meat star Jack Whitehall to perform a skit for Unicef.
When asked in 2022 about the legacy he would like to leave and how he would like to be remembered, he said, “Honestly, just being a nice guy.”
