Two women who allegedly visited Liam Payne’s hotel room hours before his death have been questioned by police, it can be revealed.
The two women – named in the Argentine press as Aldana Serrano, 31, and Lucila Goitea, 27 – gave sworn statements to the prosecutor investigating the singer’s death at a boutique hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.
Sources close to the investigation have described them as “cooperative witnesses.”
The pair made statements just hours after Payne’s body was discovered after he jumped from the balcony of his three-story suite at the CasaSur hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
The women said they arrived at the hotel at 11:30 a.m. and left at 4 p.m., although they had expected to leave earlier.

The multi-millionaire was seen arguing with a woman on the street about money on the day he died, according to a guest at the CasaSur hotel who told how the singer seemed ‘a bit wild’ as he argued with a woman about money .
Michael Fleischmann, from the US, claimed the former boy band star kept repeating to the woman: ‘I’ll give you $20,000 dollars just because I can.
“I have $55 million, and I like to help people.”
During the “very tense situation,” the woman is said to have spoken in Spanish with the hotel manager around 2 p.m. local time and translated the conversation to Payne.
Mr Fleischmann told the Buenos Aires Herald that he did not recognize that the man “with an English accent who seemed to be causing a commotion” in the lobby was Payne until news of his death broke.
He added that the singer “seemed very upset, excited, a bit wild, walking around and pacing” and “very energetic.”
It was previously reported that Argentine investigators had questioned three hotel staff and two female escorts.

Payne fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Hotel courtyard at 5pm local time (9pm UK time) on Wednesday, before medics confirmed his death.
The singer died of multiple traumas and “internal and external bleeding,” according to a post-mortem examination report.
Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No. 16 said it is investigating the incident as an “inconclusive death” following the report.
Meanwhile, aides have revealed they were concerned about the star’s access to a balcony prior to his fall.
Employees reportedly feared that the 6-foot-2 star was so intoxicated that he could easily fall over the glass railing of the balcony, which was reportedly at a height of about 4 feet and “easily fell over.”

Argentine police now believe he suffered “some kind of outbreak due to substance abuse” before his death.
In the run-up to his death, a panicked hotel worker made two phone calls, the first of which said: ‘We have a guest who is completely out of his mind on drugs and is destroying everything in his room. Someone has to come.’
When the line went dead, he called back and said, “I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. The room has a balcony and we are afraid he will do something.’
According to local media, Payne allegedly ‘behaved erratically in the hotel lobby and broke his laptop’ before having to be ‘carried back to his room’.
