Liam Payne died instantly from multiple injuries after plunging from a third-floor hotel balcony in Argentina.
The One Direction star fractured his skull, but emergency services were unable to save him at the scene.
Alberto Crescenti, head of Buenos Aires’ emergency services, told The Sun: ‘Our role was to get there quickly, provide medical assistance and try to revive him, but his injuries were incompatible with life.
“Based on what the team saw, there apparently was a skull fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death.”
