Liam Gallagher has fired shots at Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold in the aftermath of the Reds’ draw against Manchester City.
The build-up to Sunday’s title clash at Anfield has been dominated by the defender’s comments during an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, that a Premier League win would mean more to the club than to Manchester City.
His proclamation irritated a number of City players, most notably Erling Haaland, who hit back at the England man before the titanic battle between the teams.
Now Liam Gallagher has joined the debate with his dig aimed at Alexander-Arnold.

The post was not the first time Gallagher has joined the debate, as he had written a post on his account earlier this weekend ridiculing the Liverpool defender’s claim.
After Gallagher’s latest self-titled performance with John Squire topped the UK album charts, the 51-year-old celebrated by mocking Alexander-Arnold’s comments.
He posted ‘This #1 means more to us and our fans than any other artist and their fans.’

When Haaland came into the match, there was added spice after Haaland took exception to the Liverpool number 66’s comments.
After being asked what had been said, the Norwegian sarcastically told Sky Sports: ‘I’ve been here for a year and won the Treble and it was quite a nice feeling. I don’t think he knows this feeling exactly.’
Ruben Dias also responded while speaking to BBC Radio Manchester, saying: ‘We have won a lot in this club, especially last year with the Treble. I think it’s pretty clear between us, between our fans, how much it meant to all of us.”
Meanwhile, Liam’s brother, Noel Gallagher, branded Alexander-Arnold a ‘dumbass’ when asked about the interview during an appearance on talkSPORT.
