Lewis Capaldi hilariously gives Roman Kemp a massage backstage at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball
Lewis Capaldi and Roman Kemp enjoyed some backstage shenanigans at Capital’s star-studded Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard at The O2 on Saturday.
In a hilarious segment, singer Lewis, 26, gave host Roman, 29, a massage as he took some time out before taking the stage at the festive event.
The Someone You Loved singer quipped as he got to work massaging Roman: ‘Christmas has come early for me!’
Christmas has come before me! Lewis Capaldi graciously gave Roman Kemp a backstage massage at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball before performing at the star-studded event.
Roman first hosted the segment, telling fans, “I’m currently face down, on a massage table backstage… being rubbed down by someone who’s not my regular masseuse.”
He then went into hysterics as Lewis showed off his sense of humor as they chatted and even joked around while massaging him.
“That was me, sorry I’ve been holding it back for a while,” Lewis joked as Roman burst out laughing.
Roman first hosted the segment, telling fans, “I’m currently face down, on a massage table backstage… being rubbed down by someone who’s not my regular masseuse.”
Roman then asked Lewis about his singing career, asking, “Do you take care of your voice?”, before Grace’s hitmaker’s performance.
‘Nope. Before every concert, I get a massage like this,” Lewis said.
She was then asked if she had any ‘pre-show rituals’, before saying she warms up with a vocal coach before going on stage.
Lewis also talked about the upcoming Christmas holidays, saying that the best gift he received was a deep fryer.
Hilarious: Roman was hysterical when Lewis showed off his sense of humor as they chatted and even passed gas while massaging him.
‘Last year I bought a deep fryer. An amazing gift for anyone by the way. The best I’ve ever been given,’ she said.
The massage soon ended with both stars taking the stage to present and sing respectively.
Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball has returned to London’s O2 Arena for another year with a star-studded lineup for the UK’s biggest Christmas party.
The festive show, which will take place on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of December, will also be broadcast live on Global Player.

On Sunday night, Stormzy, Dua Lipa, Aitch, Becky Hill, Tiësto, George Ezra, Joel Corry, MistaJam & Friends ft LF System, Eliza Rose and Belters Only will perform for holiday concertgoers.
Capital listeners missed a Coldplay performance last year after they were forced to pull out of last year’s Jingle Bell Ball after one of their crew tested positive for covid-19.
Tom Grennan was recruited at the last minute to replace last year’s multi-award winning global superstars.
Lewis will make his highly anticipated Capital Ball debut after a stratospheric rise to fame over the past year, with more than 25 billion global streams.
