In January, Britney’s sister Jamie Lynn Spears said the pop star was “so sad” after her infamous 2002 split from Justin Timberlake, after four years together.

During an interview with Call Her Daddy, Jamie said she still “cries” when she remembers how heartbroken her sister was over the ordeal.

“I think everyone thought it was forever. I was so sad, first because my sister was so sad, but that was also the first time I saw it [that] maybe I didn’t know everything about the relationship.’

She added: ‘My sister, she wrote that song Everytime and she’s beyond brilliant with anything creative and she picked that song on the piano and wrote it.

“And it still makes me cry thinking about how heartbroken she was because that was her song and that was his song.”
