Lewis Capaldi appears in good spirits as he larks about with glam female pal on a fun night out – after cancelling his tour amid Tourette’s struggles

Lewis Capaldi appeared to be in good spirits as he enjoyed a fun night out at London’s Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday after canceling his tour dates.

The singer, 26, was lurking around posing playfully with a smiling female friend as he left the celebrity hot spot.

He looked casual in black jeans and a dark hoodie, which he paired with white Adidas sneakers for the occasion.

Lewis seemed to be having a great night out on the town and was always the joker as he hilariously walked around posing for the cameras.

The Someone You Love hitmaker, who is in a relationship with actress Ellie MacDowall, was out with a girlfriend who couldn’t help but laugh at his funny antics.

Lewis has been spotted all over London in recent days, having canceled his forthcoming tour due to his struggle with his Gilles de la Tourette.

Earlier on Thursday, Lewis was spotted shopping records at Rough Trade vinyl store in Notting Hill.

He was seen picking up a vinyl copy of his friend Harry Styles’ album Fine Line while browsing before buying a whole stack of records and leaving with two bags.

He was also seen chatting with some fans in the shop before laughing for snaps when they asked him for a selfie.

And last week, Lewis made a surprise return to the stage when he crashed The Vamps Kew the Music show.

He showed his support for the band – made up of Brad Simpson, Connor Ball, Tristan Evans and James McVey – as he ran through their set before hugging frontman Brad.

Lewis has also been seen at Wimbledon in recent days surprising fans by talking to Emma Watson as they played tennis together.

The 33-year-old Lewis and Harry Potter actress was in high spirits as the unlikely pals chatted while watching the women’s final on day 13 of the championship.

Last month, Lewis announced that all of the upcoming 24 shows for his Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent tour had been canceled just days after he struggled to wrap up his headline set at Glastonbury.

He is currently taking a break from touring as he focuses on his mental and physical health amid his ongoing struggle with his Tourette’s symptoms.

He took to social media at the time to say it was “obvious” that he needed to “spend a lot more time getting my mental and physical health in order,” calling the decision “the hardest of my life.”

He shared, “Hello everyone. First of all I want to thank Glastonbury for having me, for singing along when I needed it and for all the great messages afterwards. It really means everything,’ he began.

“The fact that this probably won’t come as a surprise doesn’t make it any easier to write, but I’m sorry to let you know that I’ll be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future.

‘I used to enjoy every second of these kinds of shows and I had hoped that 3 weeks away would help me.

“But the truth is that I’m still learning to adapt to the impact of my Gilles de la Tourette and on Saturday it became clear that I need to spend a lot more time getting my mental and physical health in order so that I can continue to do everything I love for a long time to come.

“I know I’m incredibly lucky to be able to take some time off when others can’t and I’d like to thank my wonderful family, friends, team, medical professionals and all of you who have been so supportive every step of the way through the good times and even more during this past year when I needed it more than ever.”

“I’m so incredibly sorry for everyone who was planning on coming to a show before the end of the year, but I have to feel good to perform at the level you all deserve.

“Playing for you every night is all I’ve ever dreamed of, so this was the hardest decision of my life. I’ll be back as soon as possible. All my love always, Lewis.’

Tourette’s experts told MailOnline it was not possible to know when Lewis would reappear because each individual has different treatment needs.

They also praised his “courage” in “openly tackling his condition” and branded it “an inspiration” to many other patients – but warned that his recovery cannot be rushed.

Lewis had already taken three weeks off for his performance at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, but recently admitted it wasn’t enough and that he was ‘still learning to adapt to the impact of my Tourette’.

At Glastonbury, he got emotional when he started to lose his voice during the performance, prompting him to apologize to the audience – who then helped him finish his songs in heartwarming images that quickly went viral.
