Leonardo DiCaprio covers his face as he leaves the Vogue and Chopard party in Cannes

Leonardo DiCaprio covered his face with a mask and baseball cap as he left the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France on Sunday.

The Hollywood actor, 48, was surrounded by a bevy of beauties as he left the luxury hotel after the Vogue and Chopard party at the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival.

Leonardo rocked a black blazer over a matching button-up shirt, along with simple navy trousers and black trainers.

Those who left the bash at the same time included British model Neelam Gill, 28, and Indian businesswoman Natasha Poonawalla, 41.

The Titanic star – who impressed at the film festival with the ‘best performance of his career’ in Killers of the Flower Moon – tried to leave the party calmly.

Killers of the Flower Moon is an American epic western crime drama film directed by Scorsese, with Leonardo serving as executive producer.

The film received a rapturous nine-minute standing ovation when it premiered at Cannes on Saturday night.

A wide range of film critics have already given the Leonardo-led movie five stars across the board, with one even calling it the best in its genre.

Words like ‘scorching’ and ‘masterpiece’ were used by critics who managed to get a ticket for the first screening.

IndieWire said DiCaprio gives “his best performance ever,” while The Guardian awarded five stars for a “remarkable epic about America’s bloody birth.”

The upcoming movie is based on David Grann’s 2017 best-selling non-fiction book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI.

It revolves around a series of murders in Oklahoma in the 1920s committed after oil was discovered on tribal lands.

The official synopsis reads: ‘In the early 1900s, oil brought fortune to the Osage Nation, who overnight became one of the wealthiest people in the world.

“The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white invaders, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as possible before resorting to murder.

“Based on a true story and told through the unlikely romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), Killers of the Flower Moon is an epic western crime saga, where true love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.”

Leonardo is joined by an all-star cast, including Oscar winner Brendan Fraser, 54, John Lithgow, 77, and Jesse Plemons, 35, while Lily Gladstone, 36, plays his on-screen love interest Mollie Kyle.

The film’s official trailer was released earlier this week and introduces viewers to Leo’s character Ernest as he delves into the history of the Osage nation and explains that greed drew “hungry wolves” to the area.

“Can you find the wolves in this picture?” he asks in the 90-second clip, as flashes of dramatic snippets of violence and families torn apart appear on screen.

It’s set to debut in select cinemas on October 6, with a wide release slated for October 20.

The highly anticipated Western will run for three hours and 26 minutes and will be available to stream on Apple TV+ upon release.
