Lenny Kravitz announced as host of the iHeartRadio Music Awards

Lenny Kravitz will host the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards, it was announced Tuesday.

And the Shotgun Wedding star will also be performing in the show.

“I am thrilled to present and perform at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards to celebrate the best in music,” said Kravitz.

“As always, the show will feature big surprises and unforgettable performances that music fans across the country won’t want to miss.”

The event will take place on Monday, March 27 from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on FOX.

LL COOL J will make a special appearance and Latto will take the stage, joining previously announced artists P!NK, Kelly Clarkson, Muni Long, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Coldplay and Cody Johnson.

In addition to this news, iHeartRadio also announced the nominees for two additional awards, Producer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, listed below.

Taylor Swift will receive the 2023 iHeartRadio Innovator Award.

The event will also be heard on iHeartMedia radio stations across the country and on the iHeartRadio app.

Now in its tenth year, the iHeartRadio Music Awards will celebrate the most streamed artists and songs across iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app throughout 2022, while also previewing upcoming hits from 2023.

The show will feature award presentations in multiple categories, live performances and “wow moments on stage,” according to a press release.

In addition to the previously announced categories, iHeartMedia has also announced the nominees for Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year (in alphabetical order).

Songwriter of the Year: Amy Allen, Ashley Gorley, Justin Tranter, Omer Fedi, The-Dream.

And nominations for Producer of the Year were also named: Blake Slatkin, Jack Antonoff, Kid Harpoon, Louis Bell, Tyler Johnson.

Artists who received multiple nominations include AJR, Anitta, Bailey Zimmerman, Bad Bunny, Bebe Rexha, Beyoncé, BLACKPINK, Black Eyed Peas, Blxst, Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic, BTS, among others.

The 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards will once again celebrate fans, giving iHeartRadio listeners the chance to decide the winners in several new and established categories.

Fan voting will determine Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, Best Fan Army, Social Star Award, Favorite Tour Photographer, TikTok Bop of the Year, Favorite Documentary, Favorite Tour Style, Favorite Residence and Favorite Use of a sample.

Social voting will close on March 20 at 11:59 PM PT for all categories. Fans can vote on Twitter using the appropriate category and nominee hashtags or by visiting iHeartRadio.com/awards.
