The list of artists for next month’s show MTV Video Music Awards got another dose of star power.

According to a number of publications, including: Lenny Kravitz, Halsey, Benson Boone and Lisa from Blackpink, all three have been added to the lineup that will take to the main stage at the USB Arena in Long Island, New York on September 11. People.

For Kravitz, who is currently promoting his latest studio album Blue Electric Light, this marks his return to the VMAs following previous performances in 1998, when he performed with Madonna on Ray Of Light, and in 1993, when he brought down the house with his hit Are You Gonna Go My Way.

Halsey (born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane) has been nominated for a whopping 14 VMAs in her career. She will perform a new song from her highly anticipated new album, but which song that will be remains to be seen.

Both Boone, who enters the event with his first three nominations, and Lisa (born Pranpriya Manobal), who has four nominations of her own, are making their acting debuts at this year’s MTV VMAs.

These four musical artists join previously announced artists Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro and Katy Perry, who will also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Kravitz, 60, will attend the live event after being nominated in the Best Rock category for his single Human, up against Green Day’s Dilemma, U2’s Atomic City, Coldplay’s feelslikeimfallinginlove, King of Leon’s Mustang and Bon Jovi’s Legendary.

Although the rocker only took home one award this time around, he has garnered seven nominations over the course of his career, including one for Best Male Video for Are You Gonna Go My Way in 1993.

So far, he has released three new singles – K421, Human and Paralyzed – for Blue Electric Light, the twelfth studio album in his legendary career, which has sold over 40 million copies worldwide since his debut album Let Love Rule (1989).

Halsey, 29, has been ramping up her promotional campaign for her upcoming fifth studio album, releasing the single The End in June, followed by Lucky the following month and most recently Lonely Is The Muse, which dropped on August 15.

This will be her first album since her concept album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power (2021), which was her last album for Capitol before their split in April 2023.

Although Halsey isn’t nominated for an award this year, she has received 14 nominations in her career, which began in 2016. She won one in the Best K-Pop category for Boy with Luv (with BTS).

Lisawho is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, will make her solo debut on the main stage of the VMAs after VMA history in 2022 as the first solo female K-pop star and Korean soloist to win a Moon Person, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The rapper scored her first VMA recognition with nominations for Best Art Direction, Best Choreography, Best Editing and Best K-Pop for her song Rockstar.
