Lena Waithe and Cynthia Erivo attended the Broadway opening of Merrily We Roll Along on Sunday night.
The 39-year-old producer and 36-year-old actress appeared to make the most of their time at the event, during which they posed for numerous photos together.
The writer and performer, who is currently gearing up for the release of the musical feature film Wicked, was joined by several other entertainment industry figures during the show’s premiere.
Waithe opted for an almost all-black outfit that included a collarless jacket worn over a low-cut T-shirt.
The Chi creator also donned slightly wide leg trousers and added some extra color to her look with two-tone trainers.
