A new and little known one Australian skin care brand receives five-star reviews from customers thanks to its nourishing formula approach.
Leitin skin care Only launched in March this year, but the brand is already attracting a following of beauty fans thanks to its lipid-based skincare products.
The brand’s founder says the brand has done just that ‘rejected water-based formulationsopting instead for natural lipids and oils’ to produce products that are gentle and non-greasy, but ultimately aim to provide deep hydration to nourish the skin.
One of the Leitin Skin Care characteristic products are the Waterbom Face Cream $69a hydrating moisturizer that aims to nourish the skin barrier.
The formulation contains 24 percent active ingredients, including Tasmanian Kelp, Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acids, which work together to provide deep levels of hydration.
Customers have branded the moisturizer ‘fantastic’ and praised for providing ‘great hydration’.

Tasmanian Kelp is rich in antioxidants, Niacinamide can help improve skin texture and tone, while Hyaluronic Acid is known for helping the skin retain moisture. The Water Bomb moisturizer contains four different hyaluronic acids with different molecular weights for comprehensive hydration, as well as peptides that aim to target fine lines.

Leitin Skincare is the brainchild of landscaper Leighton, who said he decided to launch his own range after using ‘high quality skincare’ but found it ‘wasn’t effective’.

“A lot of people thought we were crazy at the time, but we built the lab before we even sold a product,” Leitin founder Leighton told Daily Mail Australia.
He told Daily Mail Australia: ‘You wouldn’t think that a passion for landscaping and skincare would have much to do with each other, but interestingly, a passion for Australian Botany laid the perfect foundation to formulate a skincare brand, especially as many of the ingredients I use are plant-based ingredients.’
The journey to launching the brand began in 2022 with what Leighton describes as a series of “perfectly timed events” that led to him taking the plunge and deciding to build his brand.
‘Coming from an industry where we love to create, build and get our hands dirty, my approach to starting my skincare brand was no different. Every aspect of our business, from formulation to manufacturing to distribution, is done in-house – something I’m incredibly proud of, especially as the skincare market is absolutely oversaturated with a lot of unoriginality.”
The brand rejects the shift that many beauty brands have made away from botanical oils
