Leicester City are in talks over a £6m deal for Danish U21 international Victor Kristiansen.

The Foxes target the FC Copenhagen left-back as a result of their defensive availability crisis, with James Justin, Jonny Evans, Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand out with injuries.

The 20-year-old has made 24 appearances for the Danish side in all competitions this campaign, with six Champions League appearances.

Leicester City are in talks to sign Denmark under-21 international Victor Kristiansen for a fee of £6m.

The FC Copenhagen star would be seen as a replacement for injured left-back James Justin.

Brendan Rodgers’ side remained entrenched in 13th place, just two points above the relegation zone after their disappointing 1-0 loss to Fulham on Tuesday, when Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his 11th goal of the campaign for the visitors.

Despite a handful of fruitful seasons at King Power, Rodgers has struggled to get results this season and has one of the worst defensive records in the league, conceding 31 goals in 18 games.

Leicester are also leading the race to sign Morocco World Cup star Azzedine Ounahi from Ligue 1 side Angers.

Moroccan international and Angers star Azzedine Ounahi has also attracted interest from Leicester.

The 22-year-old’s arrival at King Power would cast doubt on the long-term future of Belgium international Youri Tielemans, who started against the Cottagers after taking over at Liverpool.

With Ounahi and Kristiansen on their transfer list, it’s clear the Foxes are targeting young stars in a bid to uncover a talent for the future.

Kristiansen has represented his country at youth level since his Under-16 debut as a 15-year-old and has since made eight appearances for the Under-21s.
