Leicester City’s young American midfielder Zach Booth is on loan to Volendam in the Netherlands.
Booth’s brother, American international Taylor, plays for Utrecht in the Netherlands and attracts the interest of Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
As the Foxes fell into the Championship late last season there were a number of forays as the club attempted to acclimate to the Second Division.
And with the transfer deadline looming, the Foxes have deemed it necessary to send the American youngster to the Eredivisie for regular minutes to continue his development.
The 19-year-old has yet to win a first appearance for Leicester but has so far managed to rack up a total of 38 appearances for the U21s and U18s in his three years at the club.

However, Booth’s older brother, Taylor, has come under increasing scrutiny from United after he was compared to their former target Frenkie de Jong.
Now in Utrecht, he followed in the footsteps of Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Tyler Adams by making the switch to Germany. He joined Bayern Munich from Real Salt Lake’s youth academy in January 2019 before leaving on bail in 2022.
Ten Hag, a former Utrecht manager, never coached the young American, but still has close ties to the club and is seen as a great admirer of his talents.
