Legendary rapper Scarface hospitalized in Houston ICU – as fellow musicians send prayers and support for Geto Boys member

Rapper Scarface has revealed his hospital stay in a disturbing photo taken from his bed.

The Geto Boys performer, whose real name is Brad Terrence Jordan, was photographed on Instagram on Saturday while connected to tubes as a nurse tended to him.

The caregiver was wearing a name tag that read “CVICU,” indicating that Scarface was admitted to the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

The name tag also stated that he was being cared for at a Methodist hospital in Houston.

Scarface, 53, whose health has been in the news before, did not say why he went to the hospital, although the caption said he was in pain.

The disease left him with irreparable damage to his kidneys and he took to Twitter to ask for ‘volunteers’ to donate one of their healthy kidneys to him.

He eventually received a kidney transplant from his son, Christopher Jordan.

Scarface has released 12 solo albums and is known for songs such as Smile, My Block and I Seen a Man Die.

He first came to prominence in the late 1980s with the group Geto Boys, with the song Mind Playing Tricks on Me.
