Eight-time Major winner Tom Watson and LeslieAnne Wade have announced the end of their marriage after just three months.
The former CBS executive, who now runs her own golf PR firm – White Tee Partners – nam Twitter on Monday to announce that their time together had come to an end.
Watson and Wade married in July, but have since decided to call it quits due to the latter’s battle with an “unexpected illness.”
“Over the past few months, I’ve been particularly focused on a challenging road through unexpected illness,” Wade tweeted this week.
The couple had been married for three months and have insisted on Twitter ‘we are good’. Promise.’
“Tom has supported me and made sure I get the best care possible. I am extremely grateful and blessed to him that I will fully and fully recover.
“Unfortunately, the inability to properly start and build our relationship in these early days is forcing us to end our marriage.
“He will always mean the world to me and our bond is forever.
Watson has not publicly commented on the matter, but did retweet Wade’s announcement.

The 73-year-old is one of the most famous golfers of the previous generation. and indeed of all times.
Watson won 39 PGA tournaments and eight majors during his illustrious career, including The Open and The Masters Twice five times.
His most previous wife, Hilary, died in 2019 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
The five-time Open winner had already married once before, wedding Linda Rubin, whom he met during high school. They married in 1972 and divorced twenty-five years later, in 1997.
