Legendary coach Bill Belichick lands new job ahead of upcoming NFL season

Bill Belichick has a new role in the NFL, six months after his emotional farewell to the New England Patriots.

The 72-year-old Belichick ended his iconic tenure as head coach of the Patriots in January after 24 seasons.

However, after leaving New England, the eight-time Super Bowl winner failed to secure a new coaching job in the league for the 2024-25 season, with all seven vacancies filled by other candidates.

He was therefore forced to make the switch to television while he waited for his next opportunity. ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show and The Manningcast with Peyton Manning have already signed deals to hire him as an analyst.

And with just a few months left until the start of the new season, the legendary coach has secured a new position in the NFL.

Belichick will also serve as an analyst for the Emmy-winning show “Inside the NFL” on The CW Network during the campaign, it was announced Thursday.

Joined by host and Super Bowl-winning safety Ryan Clark, Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson and two-time Super Bowl-winning defensive end Chris Long, he will analyze and break down the biggest talking points in the NFL on the weekly program, which begins Friday, August 30.

“I’m thrilled to join my new team at NFL Films and work on such a historic television franchise,” Belichick said. “I’ve always appreciated the in-depth analysis of ‘Inside the NFL’ and I hope to bring the same detailed insight to The CW by talking about real football with real pros – Ryan, Chris and Chad – this coming season.”

“Fans will now have the opportunity to hear his insights and better understand the nuances of the game from the master himself. We can’t wait for Bill, Ryan, Chad and Chris to deliver a championship-caliber show all season long.”

Belichick, who is currently in a relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, is widely regarded as the greatest head coach in NFL history, having led the Patriots to six Super Bowl victories.

The Patriots legend has dominated headlines over the past month after it was revealed that he is dating a cheerleader nearly 50 years his junior.

Belichick first met Hudson on a flight to Florida in 2021, where they bonded over the former student-athlete’s philosophy project

During the flight, Belichick even signed his current girlfriend’s notebook, writing, “Jordon, thank you for giving me a course in logic! Safe travels!”

They promised to keep in touch and their relationship eventually turned romantic when Belichick split from girlfriend Linda Holliday last September.

Now, less than a year later, it turns out that the elderly couple live together and have been spotted in public regularly.
