Legendary Australian entertainment icon and PR guru found dead in his luxury Sydney apartment at age 43

Legendary Australian entertainment icon and PR and talent expert Jai Evans passed away on Sunday at the age of 43.

A source told Daily Mail Australia on Friday that Jai had been found dead the day before in his luxury Darlinghurst apartment in Sydney.

Jai’s cause of death is currently unknown.

Bondi fitness entrepreneur Dan Wootton confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement on social media.

“RIP Jai Evans. Another beautiful friend gone far too early before his time,” Dan wrote, alongside a beaming photo of Evans.

“Your vibrant energy and willingness to help was unmatched. Rest in peace Jai, love you buddy.”

The Sydney PR guru had more than twenty years of experience in public relations.

In 2005, he founded his own company Evans Media and has worked with hundreds of media companies to help them with their PR strategies.

During his successful career, Jai worked as an advertising manager, publicist, magazine publisher, editor and all-round public relations expert.

Jai has helped many major Australian media companies, including Channel Nine, Sky News, News Limited, BRW and Vogue, achieve their marketing goals.

The media guru also counted a host of Australian A-list stars among his friends, including actress Lara Worthington and e-commerce queen Anastasia Fai Kogan.

He also had a brief acting career, appearing in an episode of the soap opera Home and Away in 1997.

Earlier this year he advised Pedestrian about some of the challenges the cast of Married At First Sight face when they’re in the spotlight.

β€œIt can be difficult for controversial MAFS figures to navigate the social media landscape,” Jai said.

‘This is because brands and companies may be reluctant to do business with someone who appears to have damaged their credibility.’
