Presenter Ken Hose has died at the age of 85.
The sad news was announced on Sunday by 7News Queensland presenter Samantha Heathwood in an emotional message shared live on the channel.
Ken was an instantly recognizable face on 7News in the 1970s and 1980s for his AFL reporting and weather presenting.
In a moving tribute to Ken, Samantha said on 7News: “Ken spent more than a decade with Seven covering his beloved AFL and hosting countless programs and events in the 70s and 80s.
“He also read the winning lotto numbers and presented the weather.”

“A tribute to Ken’s time at Seven still hangs in the corridors of our newsroom,” she added.
Ken is survived by his wife Pam, their three children and grandchildren.
Fans quickly took to social media to share their condolences with Ken’s family following the sad news of his death.
