‘Selfish arrogant p****s’: Piers Morgan leads the criticism of Leeds players for ‘going full on Arsenal’ by ignoring fans waiting to greet them at their Bournemouth hotel… after Gunners were beaten for they disapproved of a mascot

  • Players walked silently through the hotel lobby, despite fans trying to say hello
  • Arsenal players were recently criticized for not interacting with a young mascot

Leeds United players have come under fire on social media after footage emerged of the side ignoring some fans waiting for them at their team hotel in Bournemouth.

In a clip posted to Twitter on Sunday afternoon, members of the Leeds first team were seen jostling supporters who had waited in the hotel lobby to say hello.

The players were filmed walking to the hotel entrance in complete silence, despite numerous supporters trying to get their attention.

The majority of the Leeds team wore headphones and avoided eye contact as they made their way to the door.

A younger member of the small crowd gathered to greet the team waved to the departing Leeds players, but no one even looked in his direction.

Despite a number of young fans waving and calling out the names of the players, no one responded

At one point, a member of the club’s security team stepped in for the young boy in a full Leeds kit and prevented him from catching a glimpse of his heroes.

Piers Morgan led the criticism of the Leeds side, labeling the players as ‘selfish arrogant bastards’.

Mail sports has contacted Leeds United for comment.

Leeds were on the receiving end of a hammering on the pitch as they fell to a 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.

Javi Gracia’s side have fallen to 16th place in the Premier League and are just one point above the relegation zone.

Less than two weeks ago, Arsenal players were also heavily criticized for their lack of involvement with one of the club’s mascots.

In a clip posted to the club’s social media channels, the Arsenal players were seen signing a shirt for the young supporter as they entered the dressing room.

Hardly any of the players looked in the girl’s direction, let alone stopped for a quick chat.

The Gunners have also recently been criticized on social media for appearing to ignore a fan

The clip immediately went viral on Twitter as thousands of people couldn’t understand why none of the players seemed to want to talk to the mascot or even make eye contact.

The Gunners were accused of being “entitled, overpaid and rude,” but the girl’s father insisted the footage was just a “tiny window” into her day.

Mikel Arteta also had to defend his players when asked about the matter at a press conference later in the week.

Since then, a number of clubs, including Manchester United, have mocked the Gunners across social media for their poorly reviewed tweet.
