Lee Elliott attends the Australian Open without his wedding ring as Georgia Love arrives home alone from her trip to New York after couple’s split is confirmed

Georgia Love and Lee Elliott are currently taking ‘a break’ from their relationship as they reassess their future together.

And Lee appears to be mending his broken heart by keeping busy with his friends in Melbourne.

The 43-year-old carpenter shared a series of photos on Instagram on Monday while attending the Australian Open.

Lee couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he posed alongside tennis champion Andy Murray, Rob Mills and another friend.

He also shared a photo sitting in the stands with Georgie Tunny and Sharyn Hart.

Lee looked stylish in shorts and a striped shirt as he ditched his wedding ring for the fun day out.

“This set up an absolute racket with Andy Murray and @uber_australia at the Australian Open,” Lee captioned the post.

The outing comes after his wife Georgia returned from a trip to New York where she spent two weeks with a friend.

The pair too spent Christmas broke up, choosing to be with their respective families, which has led to a wave of speculation online, which they have stopped doing.

An insider told Daily Mail Australia: ‘They are on a break but plan to reassess their relationship when Georgia returns from America.’

“The time apart could have been good for them and I think they both had a chance to see what life would be like if they did [officially] different.

‘Both are surprised that there is so much interest, to be honest. They have agreed not to speak directly to the media – at least not until they know where they stand.”

The source added that Lee has “always supported Georgia in following her dreams” and “I think No matter what happens, they will remain friends in the long run.

“Everyone, including themselves, hopes they can make things work and I think that’s why they’re so reluctant to address anything officially.”

Questions about their relationship first emerged when Georgia posted a video on social media of her decorating her Christmas tree at home and there was nothing on her left ring finger.

Shortly afterwards, another photo showed her at a terrace with a friend and she also had no ring – suggesting the earlier clip was not a one-off.

Noticing that this was unusual for Georgia, eagle-eyed fans flocked to the comments section to ask if she and Lee had spent time on their relationship.

This in turn led others to note that the pair had not been photographed together for a few months, leading to speculation that this could be Australia’s ‘first bachelor divorce’.

The couple met and fell in love on the 2016 season of The Bachelorette, where Georgia, a former TV news reporter, chose tradie Lee as her winning suitor.

They married in 2021 at Frogmore Creek Winery outside Hobart, followed by an outdoor reception at Shene Distillery.

The lovebirds were due to get married in Italy the year before but had to cancel due to Covid travel restrictions.

The following year they moved to their $1.3 million mansion in the posh Melbourne suburb of Hampton East.
