LeBron James’ youngest son Bryce, 17, announces college basketball commitment

Bryce James, the youngest son of NBA legend LeBron James, has committed to the University of Arizona.

The 17-year-old, a three-star shooting guard, will join the Wildcats as part of their 2025 recruiting class.

Bryce is believed to have chosen Tommy Lloyd’s program over offers from the likes of Duquesne and Ohio State.

Bryce, whose older brother Bronny joined their father on the Los Angeles Lakers last year, is ranked as the No. 257 overall player and No. 46 shooting guard in the class of 2025.

The teen took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing a photo of him photoshopped in an Arizona uniform.

“100% committed,” he captioned the post on the social media platform.

His famous father also celebrated the union online, posting the same photo on his own profile.

‘CONGRATULATIONS MAXIMUS!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!! #JamesGang,” the all-time NBA points score wrote, adding several prayer, praise and heart emojis.

LeBron had not shied away from his desire to play in the NBA with his eldest son Bronny, finally making that dream come true after the Lakers drafted the 20-year-old.

Los Angeles selected Bronny with the No. 55 pick in last April’s Draft, with the pair becoming the first-ever father-son duo to play alongside each other in an NBA game during the Lakers’ season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 22.

However, Bronny was assigned to the Lakers’ G-League affiliate earlier last month and is expected to move between LA and South Bay this season.

But Bryce may not complete a James trio in purple and yellow, having previously made his feelings very clear about playing alongside his father.

“Not gonna lie, that’s OD (too much),” Bryce said on Instagram last June. ‘Waiting until I… no, that’s too much. That’s too much, no. No, good sir. He’s turning 42, bro.’
