LeBron James is still undecided on his future in the NBA, sources have exclusively told DailyMail.com.
The Lakers star, who declined to confirm whether he will leave the franchise following their stunning loss to the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, is preparing for a “wild” few weeks of negotiations.
“Now that he has come to terms with the loss overnight, he is keeping to himself and trying to calm down before making a decision,” the insider said.
“Not to say there isn’t a plan, but the Lakers could fire their coach and they want to talk to LeBron about that and his future,” the source added, referring to embattled head coach Darvin Ham.
The 50-year-old’s job is in ‘serious danger’ and some ‘indicate he is very unlikely to return’ after his second season ended disappointingly in defeat in the first round of the play-offs. Athletics reports this.

“There will be more answers than questions in the next month, with the NBA Playoffs still happening,” she added.
“The future of LeBron’s playing career and his final contract are now on the table, he knows teams know that, and the Lakers cannot afford to lose him.
“Negotiations are going to get wild in the coming weeks.”

Insiders also tell us that the all-time great basketball player may not make any decisions until he finds out if his son Bronny will be drafted.
“He’s going to see what happens with Bronny in the NBA Draft and then decide whether he stays with the Lakers or moves to another team,” the source said.
The 19-year-old recently stated that he is entering the NBA Draft and the transfer portal, which LeBron spoke about last night during his post-game press conference.
“Honestly, I just want to go home to the family and look at the schedule,” he said when asked if he has thought about what comes next.
LeBron spent the past six seasons with the Lakers and last won the NBA championship in 2020.
