A basketball jersey worn by high school student LeBron James has reportedly broken records after it was sold at auction.
The shirt was sold at an auction called ‘Legends in Motion’ by Julien’s Auctions – which also featured items from other sports stars such as Michael Jordan, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, as well as Taylor Swift and Bruce Lee.
But at auction, James’ jersey made the most money, selling for a whopping $1.3 million (£970,000).
According to What’s The Jam, James wore the garment during his first photo shoot with Sports Illustrated in 2002 for a piece written by the late Grant Wahl.
After the shoot, LeBron James — who is about to enter his 22nd season alongside son Bronny James — wore the jersey during a high school game for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School vs. Akron rivals Archbishop Hoban.
