LeBron James was one of many left seething by the late mistake that all but ended UConn’s chances of reaching the NCAA Championship game on Friday night.
With just under four seconds left in their Final Four clash with Iowa, UConn forward Aaliyah Edwards was called for a moving screen on a game-deciding play after he appeared to block Hawkeyes No. 24 Gabbie Marshall.
The Huskies were left fuming over the controversial offensive foul, which helped Iowa crawl over the line and into the championship game against South Carolina.
It was a decision that divided opinion on social media, with several fans unhappy with UConn being denied a final offensive play in the final seconds.
One of those critics was LeBron, who responded to the call in an angry post after Iowa held on to win in his home state of Ohio.
He wrote on X: ‘NAAAAAHHHHHH!!! I don’t agree with that call.’
