LeBron James fails to take a shot in ENTIRE first quarter of Lakers vs Warriors in NBA playoffs
LeBron James fails to shoot in the ENTIRE first quarter for the first time in his playoff career as the Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 3
LeBron James wrote an unhappy chapter in his career stats playing for the Lakers against Golden State on Saturday night.
The 38-year-old failed to shoot in the first quarter for the first time in his career as his team battled to win again in the series against the Warriors.
He finally scored his first points of the night with 6:32 left in the second quarter.
His first field goal came with 5:37 on the clock in the second quarter and was met with generous cheers from the Lakers fans at the Crypto.com Arena.
Skip Bayless was one of the familiar voices stunned by James and his poor start to the game.
LeBron James failed to take a single shot for the Lakers in the first quarter vs. Warriors
Bayless wrote on Twitter, “COME ON, LEBRON, SNAP OUT. NO SHOTS AND NO FREE THROWS IN 1ST QUARTER AS WARRIORS LEAD WITH 7???
‘INITATE! ATTACK! MAKE YOUR WILL! YOU ARE THE ALL LEAD SCORER! GIVE SO!’
Ironically, James was pictured practicing shooting five hours before Saturday night’s game.
But James didn’t hold back his team too much in the first half – the Lakers had an 11-point lead going into halftime.
And he also made a positive piece of history. He overtook Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to move up to fifth on the all-time leaders list for total rebounds in the NBA playoffs.
The series is currently tied 1-1 after two games.
