LeBron James and his family are “50/50” on Bronny and will begin classes at USC later this month as the 18-year-old recovers from cardiac arrest… and every basketball decision is a “talk for the future”

A spokesperson for LeBron James’ family has denied a DailyMail.com report that 18-year-old Bronny may decide to postpone his first semester at USC following his recent cardiac arrest.

“There is no truth to any report suggesting that Bronny is considering delaying the start of his first semester of college,” the James family spokesperson told DailyMail.com. “That is completely false and should not be reported.”

A source previously told DailyMail.com that Bronny and his family were considering postponing his first semester of classes and burgeoning basketball career at USC while he continues to recover.

The source stressed that the family is following the doctors’ recommendations, but is not ruling out a return to the hardwoods for Bronny.

“LeBron and the rest of the family have been talking about delaying Bronny’s school requirements during this fall semester to allow Bronny to make a full recovery,” the source told DailyMail.com. “They are also looking into whether he can take lessons from home so that he can go to school at the scheduled time.

“Continuing his recovery is the first mission to be accomplished. Decisions are now 50/50 on what each of them will do, and they will also continue to see if Bronny can possibly play basketball again. As for school, they have to make the decision within a week, basketball dreams and if they continue are talks for the future. It’s what the doctors are recommending now.’

Bronny was spotted for the first time since his illness on Friday when LeBron and the James family went out for dinner at the celeb hot spot.

LeBron arrived alone with wife Savannah and their daughter Zhuri, but the Lakers star left a few hours later along with Bronny and his other son, Bryce.

People quoted a source as saying diners approached the family to convey their best wishes.

“LeBron kept saying how grateful he is,” the source told People.

“Of course it was wonderful to see Bronny again after that terrifying week. LeBron and the family are regular guests. Everyone prayed for Bronny’s recovery.”

The next day, LeBron shared a video of Bronny playing the piano at home, captioning his Instagram post, “GRAND RISING!! God is great. @bronny YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Simple as that! Keep going!!! We are always there for you.’

Bronny was rushed to the hospital Monday after collapsing at USC’s Galen Center, where he was practicing with the rest of the Trojans basketball team.

The teen was admitted to intensive care before being later stabilised. He was finally released from the hospital on Thursday.

Announcing that Bronny had been discharged, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center said in a statement Thursday: “Thanks to the prompt and effective response of the USC Athletics medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for sudden cardiac arrest.

“He arrived fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

‘Mr. James was quickly attended to by highly trained staff and has been discharged home where he is resting.
