“33 years have passed and I’m happy to be in a place where I can embrace who I am,” the Tennessee native wrote. “I’ve put my identity and personal happiness aside for so long, out of fear of rejection or not wanting to embarrass my family.”
Cara said she realized that anyone who ‘really loves [her]’ he wouldn’t have cared how long he’s been feeling this way in the first place.
“I’m in transition and I have no more apologies to make for who I am,” she continued. “This will be a lonely process in terms of emotional support from others, but I will be happy knowing that I am doing this for myself and what I need for my gender dysphoria.
