Leaked image claims to show Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 models, showing off biggest screen increase in years

Apple hasn’t revealed any details about its upcoming smartphone yet, but a new leak has hit the internet that claims to show all four models of the iPhone 16.

The devices are suggested to be the flagship Plus, Pro and Pro Max, showing that this could be the biggest screen increase consumers have seen in years.

If the leaked image shared by a well-known Apple insider is accurate, the iPhone 16 Pro will be 6.3 inches long compared to the same model in 2022 which was 6.1 inches.

But the biggest increase could come with the iPhone 16 Max Pro, which the image showed will have an even bigger screen.

The image was posted by a well-known Apple leaker who wrote the screen size above each iPhone, suggesting that this year’s Pro will be 0.2 inches larger than the one released in 2023.

Sonny Dickson, who leaked about the possible size change, posted an image on X of what could be launched later this year.

There are four phones in the photo: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The sizes of the phones are written above them.

The standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are listed as 6.1 inches and 6.3 inches – the same size as the iPhone 15 counterparts.

But the biggest change could come to the higher-end models, which would be the first size update Apple has made since the iPhone 12 Pros, which were 0.6 inches larger than the previous model.

However, dummy models may not be 100 percent accurate, and the public won’t know for sure that the images are actually accurate until Apple officially unveils its new line of iPhones. Chances are this will take a few more months.

The company hosts several events related to new products throughout the year and unveils its new phones in September.

Apple is hosting an event on May 7: the first spring conference in its history.

CEO Tim Cook posted a cryptic animated teaser for the event, which he confirmed will be streamed online.

The animation shows the Apple logo in several bright colors and artistic styles, including one with a hand holding a stylus.

The broadcast will stream online on Apple TV and Apple’s website on May 7 at 10am Eastern Time (3pm BST).

Although the company has not yet confirmed which new products will be announced, rumors are circulating furiously online.

According to Apple tipster Mark Gurman, the company is about to unveil several new iPads, including a Pro with a “snazzy new OLED screen.”

OLED screens – which offer better picture quality – have been fitted to iPhones since 2017, but not iPads.

This will be confirmed by MacRumorswhich reported that two iPad Pro models with OLED and two iPad Air models will be announced.

They would be the first new iPads since 2022 and mark the longest wait for new iPads in the company’s history.

There will also be an Apple Pencil with a pinch gesture for certain actions and a new Magic Keyboard (Apple’s line of wireless computer keyboards), MacRumors added.
