- Model numbers of three phones spotted
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7 seem likely
- There should be another foldable SE
Our Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 review and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 review will tell you that we’re impressed with Samsung’s foldable offering this year, and now we have a better idea of what’s coming over the course of 2025.
The team of Android Authority has delved into the beta code for One UI 7 (Samsung’s version of Android 15) and discovered some interesting new model numbers that match numbers for current phones.
We can see the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 here – codenamed SM-F966 and SM-F751 respectively – and it looks like we’re also getting a successor to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
The latter phone, codenamed SM-F968, might get a global launch – unlike the model it replaces, which is currently only available in South Korea. The current Z Fold SE is lighter and thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, with better cameras and larger screens, so we’d like to see the next iteration sold more widely.
A whole year of Samsung phones
Unfortunately, these code snippets don’t tell us much about what will actually happen to these foldable phones. The names of the phones aren’t even included, though Android Authority has made some educated guesses.
Actually, we haven’t heard much about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. These phones certainly seem to be on their way, although it is not clear what we can look forward to. of upgrades.
For now, at least, the focus is on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which we expect to see a grand unveiling sometime in January. This year, the usual three models may be joined by a new Galaxy S25 Slim edition.
We may even get a triple release from Samsung sometime in 2025, with the idea being that it wants to release more form factors and compete directly with the Huawei Mate XT. It promises to be another busy year for Samsung phones.
