Leak gives us our first sign that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 is coming to the iPad

The successors to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 tablet series should not be far away now, and a new leak gives us our first indication of the device models that are being prepared to take on the best iPads that Apple has to offer has.

This leak is thanks to Android Heads: Model numbers have now surfaced that apparently refer to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, both of which will launch internationally (as you’d expect).

We don’t get any mention of a standard Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 here, but that could very well be because the tablet is still in the early stages of development. There is little doubt that a basic version of the tablet will also be released.

And that’s about all we can get from this particular leak – it doesn’t tell us much, but it’s something, and it shows that work is in progress to offer Android alternatives for the new Apple iPad Air 13-inch (2024) and iPad Pro 13-inch (2024).

When will the Galaxy Tab S10 tablet be launched?

Tablets – whether made by Samsung, Apple or whoever – don’t launch as regularly as smartphones, making it difficult to predict when we’ll actually see the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series.

The Tab S9 tablets (including the 14.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra) were officially unveiled in August 2023. The previous Galaxy Tab S8 series debuted in February 2022 – which means a gap of about 18 months.

If we have to wait another 18 months, we are looking at February 2025 for the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S10, S10 Plus and S10 Ultra. It’s possible that Apple will release more tablets, such as the iPad mini 7, between then and now.

We haven’t heard anything about the Galaxy Tab S10 tablets in terms of specs or design, and we’ve only come across one short leak about this series so far. That will probably change in the second half of 2024.
