Political figures from both the left and the right have suggested that Biden is seriously ill — or even dead — because of the way he announced his departure from the 2024 election race.
Controversial Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, 37, posted a message on X on Monday asking the 81-year-old for “proof of life” and even gave the president a deadline to do so.
The Republican fanatic, who has previously been involved in several scandals and conspiracy theories, said: “I demand that Joe Biden provide proof by 5 p.m. today that he is still alive.”
“He needs to get on camera and discuss whether he knows he’s dropped out. Hiding is completely unacceptable.”
Biden was last seen on July 17 and is currently being treated for a mild Covid infection at the White House. His team shared their latest update on Monday.
There is no suggestion or evidence that Biden has any health issues. Such an illness would pose a major national security concern and would be made public quickly so that a temporary replacement could be announced.
Journalist Glenn Greenwald, a left-wing opponent of Biden, also posted on the social media site, calling it “strange and wrong” that Biden had not made a televised announcement or appeared in person since revealing the bombshell.

President Biden announced in a letter posted on his social media that he was stepping down from his bid for re-election
Greenwald wrote: ‘I don’t endorse Biden’s conspiracies, but still: it is strange and wrong that Biden said nothing, given the historic scale of his announcement.
“It’s bizarre that a president would resign via a tweet and then disappear. If he’s good enough to decide, he’s good enough to speak.”
Along with Boebert, fellow Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene described Biden’s decision to retreat into similar conspiracy theories.
She posted a message on X: ‘There is a soft civil war going on within the deep state and the elites in power.
“The Democrats, the IC and their activists in the media have been lying to us for years and saying there is nothing wrong with Biden.
“Then they stage a coup against him and demand that he withdraw from the race because they can no longer hide it.”
Greene is known for espousing several bizarre conspiracy theories, including the QAnon claim that Trump is engaged in a war against Satan-worshipping Democrats and celebrities.
Biden’s health was ultimately the reason his campaign ended after a disastrous debate with Donald Trump, 78, last month.
Concerns about his health have increased after his younger brother said this was a reason for his resignation.
Frank Biden told CBS: “I’m incredibly proud of my brother. Selfishly, I’m going to give him back to enjoy whatever time we have left.”

That choice of words led to speculation that Biden has a secret illness that he has not disclosed.
A leading Parkinson’s disease specialist has visited the White House several times this year, though officials have insisted Biden is in good health.
Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race via a letter on social media on Sunday afternoon.
The president was in isolation at his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, due to Covid-19 when his team drafted the letter.
On Saturday night, Biden called together two men who have been with him since his political inception: advisers Steve Ricchetti and Mike Donilon.
It was Ricchetti and Donilon who brought devastating new data that would push Biden to a decision.
In her first public appearance since dropping out of the race, Harris showered Biden with praise after he endorsed her as the Democratic nominee
They released the latest internal campaign polls, taken after the debate, which showed he could no longer beat Trump.
Following his announcement, Kamala Harris announced that she was running for the Democratic presidential nomination.
In her first public appearance since dropping out of the race, Harris showered Biden with praise after he endorsed her as the Democratic nominee.
She told attendees at an event for the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s championship teams at the White House that he was “recovering well.”
Harris said she first met him through his son Beau, whom Harris worked with when they were both attorneys general in Delaware and California.
Harris told the crowd: “We are deeply grateful to him for his service to our country.”
