‘Law & Order’ actor Vincent D’Onofrio appears in New York court for the first time with Dutch photographer wife to end 26-year marriage

Law & Order star Vincent D’Onofrio has appeared in court in New York after filing for divorce from his wife Carin van der Donk.

D’Onofrio, 63, filed divorce papers with the Manhattan Supreme Court on April 12. He has been married to van der Donk for 26 years – and she is the mother of his two sons.

The couple are still fighting over custody of 15-year-old son Luka, as judge Kathleen Waterman-Marshall said today: “The custody has not been resolved.”

She confirmed that most of the issues in the divorce case had been resolved.

The judge has scheduled D’Onofrio’s next hearing for September 19.

On March 22, 1997, D’Onofrio married Dutch model and photographer Carin and in 1999 they had their first child together, named Elias.

They then separated in the early 2000s, but rekindled their romance and had a second son in 2008.

D’Onofrio now lives in a mansion in Manhattan’s Gramercy. He was born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

Neither side spoke as they left court on Tuesday.

Images showed that the actor and his wife entered separately. Their lawyers spoke to the judge behind closed doors today.

Nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, D’Onofrio is known for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, Men in Black, and The Cell.

He plays Detective Robert Green in Law & Order, as well as Victor in Jurassic World.

D’Onofrio has another daughter from his first marriage, Leila George, who was married to actor Sean Penn.
