Lauren Sanchez gushes about moment Jeff Bezos proposed on his mega yacht as pair pose together in Vogue – while opening up about their wedding plans AND whether she plans to take his famous last name

Lauren Sanchez has opened up about her engagement to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, revealing she blacked out when she saw her huge pink diamond ring.

This is what the 53-year-old former journalist says Fashion that her 59-year-old boyfriend proposed to her at sea in May, after they enjoyed a dinner for two under the stars.

She said she didn’t wear makeup and that Jeff hid the ring under her pillow so she could touch it at bedtime.

“When he opened the box, I think I fainted a little bit,” Lauren, who posed in a number of glamorous photos in West Texas — with her fiancé donning a cowboy hat for the magazine’s December issue — said of the special moment .

The 53-year-old former journalist said her 59-year-old boyfriend proposed to her at sea in May after they enjoyed dinner for two under the stars.

Having only been engaged for five months, the couple was still in the throes of deciding what kind of wedding they would have.

‘We’re still thinking about the wedding, what it’s going to be. Will it be big? Will it be abroad? We don’t know yet,” Lauren said, adding that she was more focused on Jeff’s 60th birthday party in January.

But don’t expect one of the richest men in the world to get involved in planning their wedding.

‘Oh God no. Do I look so stupid?’ Jeff said laughing.

When asked whether or not Lauren will take her husband-to-be’s last name, she replied, “Um, yeah, one hundred percent. I look forward to being Mrs. Bezos.”

During the interview with the loved-up couple, Jeff also spoke about his fiancée, saying that she had “amazing intuition, and almost witchy powers in that regard.”

‘She sees things that other people don’t see. She’s really sensitive to other people and what they think,” he told the publication.

Jeff added that Lauren had helped him spend more time on his relationships with other people.

‘She really helped me put more energy into my relationships. She always encourages me: “Call your kids. Call your dad. Call your mom,” the business mogul said.

‘And she’s also just a really good role model. She maintains contact with people. I’ve never seen her put on makeup without calling someone. Usually her sister.’

Despite the glitz and glamor that comes with being in a relationship with one of the richest men in the world, according to her sister, Elena Sánchez Blair, she is actually much more down to earth.

“Since she’s been with Jeff, she’s been more peaceful and calm. She seems more like herself,” Elena told Vogue.

“You see her, this beautiful force, dressed in ball gowns, but the truth is most of the time we’re sitting on the couch in sweatpants and yoga pants, playing Sloppy Dice or Heads Up on our phones.”

During the interview, a smitten Lauren describes Jeff as “the life of the party.”

‘He is just very enthusiastic and very funny. He could really be crazy. I mean, you heard him laugh, right?’ she said of her partner, the Amazon founder.

This past summer, the couple was spotted traveling the Mediterranean on Jeff’s $500 million superyacht Koru, which means “new beginnings” in Maori. The lavish holiday began in May.

During the whirlwind route, the pair stopped in Portofino, Saint-Tropez and Cannes – to name a few.
