Lauren Sanchez dazzles in tiny pink dress on yacht trip… as Jeff Bezos is rocked by cartoon controversy
Lauren Sanchez showed off her curves in a figure-hugging pink cut-out mini dress while shopping in St. Barts on Thursday — hours before her fiancé Jeff Bezos’ company became embroiled in a scandal.
Jeff’s wife-to-be Lauren, 55, looked completely at ease as she soaked up the sun in St. Barts with her friend October Gonzalez.
Lauren and Jeff, 60, have been vacationing on his $500 million superyacht for the past few days, but she decided to come ashore on Thursday for some retail therapy.
The former journalist showed off her stunning physique in a tiny bright pink dress, with cutouts on each side of the midriff.
She completed the look with white sandals, a black bag and reflective aviator sunglasses.
For the outing, she kept her long brown locks in a half-updo.
Lauren seemed in good spirits and smiled for the cameras as she visited designer stores like Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton with her ex Tony Gonzalez’s new wife, October.
October opted for a matching shirt and shorts with a red and white pattern; her top was unbuttoned and she rocked a black bikini top underneath.

Hours after the outing, Jeff’s newspaper, the Washington Post, suffered a blow when award-winning editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes posted a scathing statement announcing that she had resigned from the paper after more than a decade.
She claimed her decision to leave came after the Post “murdered” a drawing she made of Jeff, along with other tech moguls, kneeling before a statue of newly elected President Donald Trump.

‘I’I have worked at the Washington Post as an editorial cartoonist since 2008,” Ann wrote in a statement Substack.
“I’ve had editorial feedback and productive conversations—and some disagreements—about cartoons I’ve submitted for publication, but in all that time, never a cartoon has been killed because of who or what I pointed my pen at. Until now.’
The cartoon in question showed Jeff, along with Facebook and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, AI CEO Sam Altman, LA Times publisher Patrick Soon-Shiong and the Disney character Mickey Mouse kneeling at the bottom of a staircase while a shadowy statue stood, apparently intended to be of Donald, was at the top.
Some of them held up bags of money, while one pursed his lips as if asking for a kiss from Donald.
Ann said the “cartoon criticized the billionaire’s top technology and media executives, who have done their best to curry favor with incoming President-elect Donald.”
“There have been several articles lately about these men with lucrative government contracts and an interest in eliminating the regulations that are making their way into Mar-a-Lago,” she continued.

‘While it is not unusual for editorial page editors to object to visual metaphors in a cartoon if they appear unclear to the editor or do not correctly convey the message intended by the cartoonist, no such editorial criticism was the case with regard to this cartoon.

“To be clear, there have been instances where sketches have been rejected or revisions requested, but never because of the viewpoint inherent in the commentary on the cartoon. That is a game changer… and dangerous for a free press.”
Ann said that ‘editorial cartoonists’ are ‘vital to social debate and play an essential role in journalism.’
She added that news outlets have “public obligations” to “foster a free press in a democracy,” stating: “Owners of such press organizations are responsible for protecting that free press — and for seeking to remain in the good graces coming from an autocrat-in-country’. -waiting will only result in undermining that free press.

‘For the first time, my editor has prevented me from doing that crucial work. That is why I have decided to leave the Post.’
The Post’s opinion editor, David Shipley, responded to the newspaper in a statement New York Timesexplaining that he respected her decision but “disagreed with her interpretations of events.”
“Not every editorial judgment is a reflection of a malevolent force. My decision was guided by the fact that we had just published a column on the same subject as the cartoon and had already scheduled another column – this one a satire – for publication,” he said. “The only prejudice was against repetition.”
Lauren and Jeff rang in the new year on his yacht with her ex Tony and his wife, October.
However, the glamorous getaway got off to a rocky start when customs officials boarded the ship on New Year’s Eve.
DailyMail.com has exclusively obtained photos of the moment police arrived and inspected the yacht for more than three hours.
Lauren was seen sunbathing while talking to a woman who appeared to be one of the officials with a walkie-talkie in her back pocket.
Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff was not seen in any photos, so it’s unclear if he was on board at the time.
