Lauren Goodger has reportedly been approached about returning to The Only Way Is Essex as bosses try to lure her back to the show that made her famous.

The 36-year-old reality star was one of the original cast members of the show, joining series one and leaving after series six, with her last appearance coming in 2016.

According to SunHer bosses have been in talks with Lauren about a possible return that they think would excite longtime fans of the show.

“Lauren would be the big star of the show if she came back, and Amy Childs’ return turned out to be a huge hit with viewers, so watch this space.”

The source added that while the show is always adding new cast members, the original TOWIE stars “bring a lot of buzz” and are a way of “winning back lost viewers.”
