Lauren Brant rounds out 2024 with VERY confronting images taken moments after giving birth to son Clay at home
Lauren Brant has ended the year by posting a very confrontational series of photos of her moments after giving birth.
The football WAG, 35, welcomed her fourth child, Clay, with husband Barry Hall, 47, via home birth in July.
Lauren took to Instagram on Tuesday to post several photos taken shortly after giving birth, along with an extended retelling of Clay’s birth story.
The graphic images showed Lauren cradling the newborn while in a birthing pool.
In one photo, husband Barry sat behind his wife in the pool as she tenderly cradled the newborn.
Another confronting image showed Lauren again holding Clay, with the umbilical cord still attached to the placenta that was in a socket.

Lauren took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a series of photos she took just after giving birth, along with an extended retelling of Clay’s birth story
“My favorite moment of 2024,” Lauren captioned the footage.
‘Bringing our fourth son into the world so freely – in my home daycare with the support of my husband.’
Lauren went on to talk about the hours leading up to the birth, revealing that she had enjoyed a day out with the family before being ‘called to the beach’.
“We played in the sand, I ran a bit with the kids and then I took a moment to say a prayer to the moon for my baby’s journey on earth,” she wrote.
“A moment later I got my first sign that Clay had begun his descent. We went home, gave the boys a bath, fed them, put them to bed and then I retreated to my room while Barry got the bath ready.”
Elaborating on the lengthy post, Lauren revealed that her labor lasted just 30 minutes.
‘I was fully dilated within moments and Clay was born after a few short contractions. It felt slow, I was fully present, but it took about 30 minutes total,” she wrote.
“He was born at 8:33 p.m. and we stayed awake until 2 a.m. in the silence of the night, basking in the energy of that beautiful full moon and completely mesmerized by our fourth son Clay. It was absolute MAGIC.’

Lauren’s post on New Year’s Eve received a flood of positive comments from followers.
‘Goosebumps all over the body!! So amazing, just wow,” one fan commented. ‘Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful, I am in awe of you!! Something I also hope to experience.’
Many were moved to comment with a simple: “Beautiful,” amplifying the sentiment with love heart emojis.
The couple originally shared images of Clay’s home birth on Instagram in July.
“CLAY,” the parents wrote in the photo series.
‘Our son was born at home in our loving arms on July 20, 2020 at 8:33 PM. It was magical,” the post continued.
“We are all in the most beautiful bubble of love, held and supported by our incredible community. We look forward to sharing our home birth story with you.”
Commenters were quick to call out the couple for revealing a little too much in the photos.
In addition to baby Clay, Lauren and Barry are the proud parents of three sons: Miller, six, Houston, four, and Samson, two.
“The birthing pool is too much… reminds me of a horror movie,” one person wrote.
Another responded with a similar sentiment, arguing that the intimate photos should not be for public consumption.
“Some things, including a bowl of placenta, are for your family album and not in the public domain,” they said.
“You delivered a baby, as millions of women do every day… nothing major.”
One reader said they were happy for Lauren and Barry, but the intimate photos were too explicit.
“I’m happy for you, but I don’t understand the need to make it all public so graphically,” the commenter said.
“You’re not superheroes and women have been having babies since the beginning of time.”
Yet another chimed in: “Seriously. Is nothing private anymore? Why not keep that moment within the family? Billions of women are having babies. We all think it’s special, but guess what. It’s just special for you, your family.’
