Laura Whitmore to address taboo subjects such as rough sex in new ITV drama

Laura Whitmore is reportedly launching a new docu-series that will tackle taboo topics like rough sex and the issues women face.

The 37-year-old former Love Island presenter, who shares daughter Stevie Ré, two, with husband Iain Stirling, is reportedly starting work on three new shows, which will air on ITVX.

It means Laura will return to her journalistic roots, having studied the subject at Dublin City University before beginning her broadcasting career.

The star, who stepped down from her hosting role on Love Island earlier this year, will reportedly not shy away from tough topics in revealing investigations.

An informant said Sun: ‘Rough sex is a topic that touches on the gray areas that come with certain behaviors and how we navigate them.

“We are a society that is increasingly exposed to violence through the Internet and that can cause problems when it manifests itself in real life.

“As with so many similar situations, that often means that women bear the brunt of those issues, which is what Laura will see in the paper.”

Other issues the star will focus on include so-called ‘woman-hating incels’ who blame women for not getting enough sex, The Sun previously reported.

Laura was in London’s Knightsbridge on Wednesday to open the Mozart Chocolate Liqueur Terrace at Harvey Nichols.

He enjoyed an evening of Mozart ‘choc-tails’ and a three-course dinner with other guests in attendance, including Felicity Hayward and Amelia Lily.

It comes after Laura poked fun at the time she forgot to take her breast pump, resulting in full, painful breasts in a very candid Mother’s Day post.

The presenter shared an old snap on Instagram as she wrote: “Throwback to that time my breast pump broke the first night away from my baby and my boobs almost blew up.” Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

In the shot, the former Love Island host was wearing a brown bra that had been stuffed with a pair of breast pads.

She was also wearing a gold necklace with a heart pendant and could be seen with an awkward expression.

Laura shared her latest read with fans in Another Snap, Why Moms Get Drunk by Gill Sims, with the tagline: “Because the bigger the kids, the bigger the DRINK.”

Shortly after the birth of her baby, Laura fueled speculation that she had been named Stevie Ré by sharing a personalized jacket with the nickname emblazoned on the back.

The Irish star had previously uploaded a Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks jumpsuit with the singer’s Gypsy song playing in the background.

And the following month, Laura only added fuel to the fire when she reminisced about the Glastonbury Festival in years past and showed off the jean jacket with the name Stevie Ré embroidered on the back.

The jean jacket featured a large badge with the phrase “Who Runs the World” and sweet crown embroidery.

The name could be inspired by Fleetwood Mac lead singer Stevie, as sjhe and her husband Iain are big fans of the musician. Ré also seemed to be a nod to Laura’s roots, as the least used Irish word means moon.

Despite apparently announcing her baby’s nickname, Laura did not recognize the name on the jacket in the accompanying caption.

Instead, he focused on the importance of ‘having fun’, as he wrote: ‘A few years ago at Glastonbury I bought the handmade ‘time to dance and play’ sign somewhere in the healing fields on the way to Shangri La.
