Last King of the Cross gets a second season with filming already underway around Sydney
Last King of the Cross is already filming a second season.
Streaming service Paramount+ has confirmed filming will take place in and around Sydney, Television tonight reports.
Returning from the first season Lincoln Younes and Claude Jabbour, who play brothers John and Sam Ibrahim.
Likewise, Detective Liz Doyle, played by Tess Haubrich, Big Tony, played by Matt Nable), Tongan Sam played by Uli Latukefu and Simone, played by Janet Anderson, will all reprise their roles.
TV Tonight reports that ‘the Family dynamics take center stage this season, with new characters adding even more excitement to the mix.

Dave Hoey appears as younger brother Michael Ibrahim, and another new role, Fadi, is played by newcomer Alex Kaan.
Speaking to TV Tonight, Helium Pictures’ Mark Fennessy said: ‘We’re super excited to continue the story of Last King of The Cross – with more extreme and fascinating untold stories about John Ibrahim and his family.
“Season two will surprise and thrill our audiences in unexpected ways as we enter the seductive, dangerous and ecstasy-fueled world of the early 2000s.”
The streaming giant announced that after the success of the first season, they will make another eight episodes of the popular crime drama, which is based on Ibrahim’s 2017 bestseller.
According to Varietythe show’s first season was sold in multiple overseas territories, including Germany, Italy, the UK and Ireland.

Daniel Monaghan, senior VP, content and programming, Paramount Australia and New Zealand, said in a statement that The Last King of the Cross was the most-watched local show on Paramount+.
The first ten-part season starred heartthrob Lincoln Younes as the identity of Kings Cross and focused on his relationship with his brother Sam (played by Claude Jabbour).
Both men were prominent figures in Sydney’s nightclub district and the series explored key events in their lives, including John’s near-fatal stabbing and other attempts on his life.
Younes, who was recently nominated for a Golden Logie, scored the role after an exhaustive search of almost two years.
