Las Vegas rapper Kenjuan McDaniel is charged with murder after he confessed to killing 32-year-old man in a song he uploaded to YouTube nearly two years later

A local Nevada rapper was charged with murder after a Las Vegas detective came across his music video posted to YouTube nearly two years after the crime.

In a news release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Kenjuan McDaniel, 25, was arrested on August 29 for open murder with a deadly weapon in the 2021 fatal shooting of 31-year-old Randall Wallace.

McDaniel was a key person in the case as his car allegedly matched the description of the car used at the scene.

The rapper seemingly thought he was under the radar until his music video for his song “Fadee Free” was posted to YouTube on July 19.

When police viewed the video, they realized his lyrics revealed a “confession” of Wallace’s murder.

The police told me The Washington Post: ‘Detectives noted that the video clip was sufficiently similar to the details of the murder.’

The rapper, who goes by the name ‘TheBiggestFinn 4800’ on his YouTube channel, said in his song: ‘I’m the reason why he’s dead, we still taunt him when he dies, not the reason he’s dead, so celebrate the reason his mama is crying.”

On September 18, 2021, police responded to a call of a man shot in the head near Lake Mead Boulevard and Saylor Way in Las Vegas, Nevada, around 6:33 p.m.

Wallace was pronounced dead at the scene and witnesses told officers they saw a black man run away and drive away in a white car at the time of the crime.

“Police said at the time that they believed Wallace had gotten into an argument with three other people before the shooting,” according to The Washington Post.

Months later, witnesses came forward and authorities were able to capture McDaniel as a person of interest.

Wallace was born in Alabama and is survived by his parents, wife, son and more relatives.

On July 17, an LVMPD detective saw the video clip that officially confirmed their suspicions about the rapper.

McDaniel was already in trouble with the law because he was on probation for a separate shooting in which he attacked four people at the Boulevard Mall in Vegas in 2018.

In addition to the murder charge, he is also charged with parole violation for his previous crime and is being held on $1 million bail with electronic monitoring.

He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of possession of a firearm for that crime.

The cryptic video clip showed McDaniel and his friends as skeletal images covered their faces.

The first text, “I’m the reason you’re dead,” immediately raised red flags for police.

As McDaniel continued, he explained what police believe are the details they have been looking for all along.

“Parked the car, double lock, smartest way to slide, pulled in, double lock, man, make sure you get your body,” McDaniel said.

8News now also reported that McDaniel said the word “midget” in the video, which was Wallace’s nickname.

The rapper was arrested at his home and the preliminary hearing took place on Thursday.

The warrant stated, “The facts collected during the investigation were obtained separately from the music video. The video clip further confirmed the results of the study.”

Commenters under the video clip also noticed the suspicious lyrics coming out of McDaniel’s mouth.

“He’s going straight to jail. First bar: I’m the reason you’re dead.’ said one.

“After reading about a rapper who was actually ignorant enough to describe a murder he committed in one of his ‘songs’ and got arrested because of it, I just had to see and hear the stupidity for myself. I wasn’t disappointed,” someone else commented.
