Thank you and blessings to everyone. Please keep our family in your prayers.”
In the GoFundMe, a loved one described Myers as a musically inclined person who loved to share his talents with others.
Larry, aka “Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits,” has been using his musical talents to bless others since he was 10 years old. From a small shop church in his hometown to the grand stage of the Apollo Theater, Larry always made himself available to sing at special events at any time, usually for free. His struggles with weight gain/loss never dampened his urge to show love and kindness to everyone he met.”
Viewers watched Myers struggle with his weight and eventually lose 100 pounds on a January 2022 episode of My 600-Lb. Life, Larry’s Journey.
“For Larry, a second surgery means a second chance as a gospel singer,” reads a description of his episode.
At the time of filming, Myers weighed 940 pounds and was bedridden.
While he underwent surgery to drop the pounds several years prior to filming, he eventually gained back 400 pounds.
“The relationship I have with food, I know it’s not normal,” he explained in his episode.

“I eat to comfort myself. When I’m cooking, that’s the only time I’m happy, except when I’m eating.
“So it’s the time when I like to sing and I sing gospel. Because the rest of the time, when I’m not eating, most of my thoughts are morbidly depressing.”
During a performance on the Ricky Smiley Morning Show last year, Myers revealed that he continued to struggle with his weight after the episode, but seemed optimistic about his future.
According to Page Six, before his passing, Myers showed his efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle on his social media.
He also revealed that he was going to release the book, The Weight of Grief: One Man’s Journey to Overcome Addiction & Find Hope, according to The sun.
